Obelisk Nile Hotel Aswan

Given the options at Aswan I think this is a good choice. It's not a luxury hotel but if you're not a backpacker and you don't want to spend a lot of money at a resort, this is a good option.

The hotel was ok,the garden view rooms pretty quiet, rooms good size, bathroom would need a bit of renovation, but all within good comfort. The hotel is right on the corniche and ON the Nile, the views in the bar for sunset are a must do before heading to the souk,which is across the busy cornish street. You can also find good food going that direction.

Overall nice hotel and good value for money. Feels miles away from the hectic road and the nearby souk - peaceful and quiet. The coffeshop and restaurant terraces are great and with a very nice Nile view. The restaurant staff were really nice and helpful and spoke good English. The gardens were lovely and very well taken care of, and made sitting on the terrace in front of the room in the morning and evening very pleasant. Swimming pool clean and with a great Nile view.

The hotel has an excellent location, helpful staff, and stunning Nile views. I highly recommend this hotel as a solid choice for anyone who will be Aswan. The location along the Nile River was absolutely amazing offering panoramic views of the river and surrounding areas. The hotel's staff was friendly and accommodating, ensuring a pleasant and comfortable stay. The location was also convenient, being near local landmarks like the museums and Philae Temple, and within walking distance to the main city area and just 2 minutes from Aswan’s big market. While not as luxurious as some of the top-tier options in Aswan, Obelisk Nile Hotel provides great value for money (which is waaay less, almost half the price, than those top tier hotels, offering comfortable rooms with excellent views of the Nile, especially at sunrise and sunset. It was a perfect spot for local experience with amazing views of the river.

Breakfast (and dinner) overlooking the Nile was superb (especially the outstanding views at sunset - no boat trip needed!). The food quality and service was outstanding. All the staff speak excellent English and are keen to help with anything you need. The room was large, the air conditioning worked perfectly, the shower was powerful, toiletries provided were good quality, and bottled water in the room was appreciated. The location is amazing, with everything you need (restaurants, cafes, ATMs, shops, markets etc.) within a short walking distance. We didn't use the pool but it looked great. Great value for money and I hope to return again someday. A special thank you to our friendly waiter Sherif Hamdy who made our stay very special, and the barman Amr Mohammed who kept us well hydrated with local wine!
